Residents at Balgowan House enjoyed a wonderful VE Day celebration as we welcomed Annie into the home for a special live singing performance.

Annie sang a selection of much-loved classic songs, helping to create a warm, uplifting and nostalgic atmosphere throughout the home as residents came together to celebrate Victory in Europe Day.

Music plays an important role in supporting wellbeing within care homes, and the performance encouraged singing along, conversation, reminiscence and shared memories among residents, families and team members alike. Celebrating important national events such as VE Day helps residents stay connected to their life experiences, personal histories and wider community traditions.
